The Ultimate Plane Simulation Games Review
Hey, Steve here,
Thanks for checking out my site, you’re reading my uncensored review, informing you of what I really thought about ProFlight Simulator – one of the plane simulation games available online today.
Note that this is a review site though, so Click Here if you’re looking for Dan Freeman’s ProFlight Simulator website.
Firstly, why am I writing this? Well when I was considering buying ProFlight Simulator I couldn’t find many ‘real’ reviews that were actually unbiased and honest. So I decided to write one for people like you that are in the same position that I was in.
To clarify, I WILL be giving you a totally honest, unbiased review that will include BOTH good and bad points, so if that’s not something you want to hear, simply close the page now
So how does the simulator compare to the likes of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator? Well after trying both flight games I enjoy ProFlight more and according to Dan Freeman – the developer, his plane sim software will give you the feeling that you are actually flying the plane, with help from the real to life scenery & terrain. Furthermore you will get to choose whatever airport you like, anywhere in the world with some high quality graphics.
What does this flight simulator game offer and how is it better than Microsoft’s or any other on the market? Proflight simulator looks & feels so realistic obviously because it’s creator has put so much effort and work into its design to be so real. Also, adding to its realism, are the reactions of the aircraft when you shift positions. The plane’s cockpits are also impressive as they are actually based on a cockpit of a real plane. I was surprised to see detail down to lighting, for example on roads and obviously the airport lighting looks good with runway lights when coming into land.
As well as the lighting and the cockpits realism, it has the ability to correctly track the time (real world time), which is also used in turn to place the sun, moon, stars and planets in their correct positioning and also accounts for the seasons.
With the world scenery at your disposal, over 20,000 airports and 120 aircraft it is more than enough and so much so that I had to stop myself from flicking between different planes and actually spend some quality time flying with one aircraft for an amount of time. I suppose I was like a child in a sweet shop..! Now you know one pitfall to avoid when you start using your own flight simulator.
Obviously the simulator has full support for joystick control, which i highly recommend as it makes use so much easier, and i’ll tell you what, when you fly in a large aircraft like say a 747 after trying out smaller cessna’s, you certainly ‘feel’ the weight of the 747 on the controls.
If you want a good challenge then make use of the plane simulator’s aircraft carriers with it’s accurate and working catapult, arrester wires and elevators, and if you get good with the Seahawk then move onto the Seafire and see how you get on.
Moving onto some other features I found very helpful like the use of multiple displays which means that if you have other monitors you can set these up around you to give an even more real feel, spreading the view between many monitors. Or, you can setup monitors to display different views, so one could purely show the cockpit while your main screen could just show you flying.
The use of multiple displays vastly improves the realism of the flight simulator.

If you’re are serious about flying then the ability to record your flight is very valuable because you can then record and playback your experience to see where you could make improvements for your following flights. You won’t be restricted to only installing this on one computer either, so having the ability to install on as many pc’s as you like is a fine addition, along with the chance to play online with other pilots, and see their locations on
a map, using Google maps.
The negative points for me are the fact that I started out using keyboard controls and it took me so long to work out the controls, it wasn’t funny. So unlike me, please read the instructions first if using keyboard controls, in fact I suggest printing them out for ease of use. And if you have a slow internet connection, you could be waiting a while as the download file is pretty large.
As I mentioned earlier, I also switched a lot between the aircraft and I found the amount available along with the ability of all the downloads on ProFlight website members area rather a lot to take in, but after a while I started to get familiar with it.
You can probably tell that apart from the few niggles, ProFlight Simulator ranks top for me so I just want to let you know the system requirements which I couldn’t find anywhere prior to writing this on any other reviews.

Hi, My name is Steve Mitchener and thanks for stopping by to visit my website. Whenever I make a purchase, I always conduct my own research first and that is exactly what I done with Flight Simulator games. I realised many other people must be going through the same things when considering buying a flight sim, so that is why I have decided to write this very thorough review of what I consider to be the best plane simulation game available today
